KENYA CHRISTIAN VOICE
OUR CONSTITUTION
ARTICLE 1
NAME
The name of the Society shall be KENYA CHRISTIAN VOICE which may be abbreviated or referred to in Kenya as ‘CHRISTIAN VOICE’ and is referred to below as ‘the Society’. The NGO was established in 2009.
ARTICLE 2
OBJECTS
The objectives of the Kenya Christian Voice shall be: ‑
1 To proclaim Jesus Christ as King and Lord of the Republic of Kenya,
2 To uphold Christianity as the guiding faith of the Republic of Kenya,
3 To be a voice for Biblical values in law and public policy,
4 To promote fellowship and unity of Christian believers,
5 To seek the Lord so that fervent, united prayer leads to action,
6 To build the capacity of members in doctrine, theology and mission so they can give expression
to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in all aspects of human life,
7 To pray for the Republic of Kenya, its Government and those in public life,
8 To organise rallies and public demonstrations of faith,
9 To execute charitable works to reduce poverty in Kenya,
10 To seek the Kingdom of God and His glory in all we do.
11 To remain non-party-political in all we do.
ARTICLE 3
FUNCTIONS
a. To bring together representatives of Kenya Christian Voice’s membership and other interested parties for prayer, periodical consultation and reflection of matters spiritual and social.
b. To promote consultation and study by the membership and other relevant bodies in
matters of unity and mission of the body of Christ.
c. To facilitate the development of an enlightened Christian public opinion through study, investigation, and debate on all issues of common concern to the people of Kenya.
ARTICLE 4
STATEMENT OF FAITH
1. We believe in one creator, eternally existence of three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit as stated in the historic creeds of the Christian church.
2. We acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord over all creation.
3. We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired, infallible, written word of God to whose precepts given for the good of Nations and individuals, all man’s laws must submit.
4. We believe all government to be under the Authority of God and that its purpose is the maintenance of freedom and justice solely in accordance with biblical principles.
